This is one of my closest friend Mara. No one can believe she is 55 and a grandmother to a little one month old baby. She is surely one hot grandmama! I will be very happy if I look like this as a grandmother.

I can never remember the last night of this world famous flamenco dancer. Eva something. She is very famous for it's bata de cola dress (long tail dress dance). We saw it today and our jaws nearly dropped. Quite an expensive show. The ticket is about $2500 Taiwanese dollars for a 45 mins show. We were sitting at the very back of the opera house! I enjoyed though. Always great to see the people who are on top of their field. What a nice sunday afternoon to have a stroll around the sydney harbour with my closed girlfriends Mara and Rosie.

Look how spoilt I was. Even on wednesday night i got to have this pure organic dinner. Feel so blessed.

Sometimes you notice that  if you go out and eat with family or friends you don't really need to talk. It becomes so comfortable that each of us just does out own thing. So called comfortable eating. No need to talk or entertain. Rather good....

Last thursday was a freezing weekday. But as soon as all of us finished working, we drove to city to celebrate Claudia's birthday together with outstanding peking duck. It was such a wonderful dinner. Thank you Andy, Claudia's generaous husband to shout us all. Claudia was a very happy birthday girl!

We had a house party last Saturday to welcome Maria's family and Michael back to Sydney on holidays after so many years. We used to have parties like this all the time. This time after so many years we had the next generation coming too! Quite a different party compare to before. Nevertheless it was wonderful to see everyone.

This was a 600 km drive in one day. We started at 7 am and back to Hotel at 9 pm. The young tour guide/driver Luke was just full of energy. Such a hard job but he did very well. We had people around the world in that small bus. for a 95 dollars tour i think its really worth the money. The view is stunning. the bus is leaving.....

Haven't seen Anita for a long time. Maria's family came back from Taiwan so we all went to Anita's house. Jonas and Angelica's rooms are absolutely gorgeous. They are so lucky aren't they?

My friend Sarah is from Iran. She has been talking about the 10 days celebration of middle east new year. She invited me to go to this big celebration at Paramatta park. You see the whole park is filled with people from the middle east doing bellydancing. Then there is Giselle and I, two very asian girls belly dancing in the middle of thousands of Iranian. So much fun.The guys there told us that we need to marry middle east men. Giselle said of course!! (her husband is German. She has two daughters age 10 and 7). That was hilarious. We had a lot of fun belly dancing!

!4 of us girls had my birthday dinner at Napoli de Bocca in Harberfield. The dresscode is bright girly colour. The invitation says no male feature and no kids. So there we are. I wished i remembered to bring my camera!! Just a few photos taken from my phone.....such a wonderful dinner party.

I think from age 21, I had birthday party or dinner every single year. Sometimes with lots of people and even the smallest one is still not small. It's really not because I am popular. I think the most important reason is that my birthday falls on the first week of easter holidays and its very easy for people to come and I always make sure it's good food and good fun with dresscode at all times. Today I looked at the photos of those birthday dinners, I noticed that the group of friends I have is quite different every year. I would have a few long time life time friends who are always going to be close to me. However I have a lot of those that I just happened to be very close at that stage of my life. After that, they might be out of my life but then the new group will come in.  Life is constantly interesting with all the different types of friends so my single life is never dull. But most of the time friends come in and out of your life. I don't know if that happens to you too. Maybe just me.

Mara invited me to the ear hour dinner at her place. I think the Australians are amazing. They followed it religiously and we had the whole garden and house full of beautiful candle lights. I forgot to bring my phone on that day so couldn't take photos! What a bummer. We had about 8 people there and the average age there was probably 50 so it was very fascinating to chat with them about life and everything. At the beginning i thought, oh no i might not fit in and don't know what to say among all these middle age OZ couples but it turned out to be a truly wonderful evening. We had so much food and lots of good red wine. What did you do at earth hour last saturday at 8 pm? did you turn off the lights?

Do you have this weird feeling? Sometimes you feel you are very social and there are times you have no idea what to say in a social setting. I normally am very social. Even if I go to places by myself I will talk to whoever and chat about whatever. I don't think I have ever gone to supermarket without talking to strangers. I go to ice rink a few times a week everyweek and yesterday the girls there said that they have never seen someone who is  so good at putting people together and introduce each other as friends. I was very happy to hear that.

But you know what?  there are times I totally have no idea what to say. That is in the pub or bar. Or anywhere when lots of random guys are around. I have no idea what to chat to guys. Not good with a group and not even good with just one. Not because of shy or anything its just that I have no idea what to talk about. computer? cars? sports? politics? none of them i have any ideas. It's almost boring sometimes. That's when I feel really empty social. Totally out of my power. HAHA

  We used to hang around all the time in Univerisity. In the 90s we ate, party, dance, karaoke....all of us were really closed friends for a long time.  We went to Tony and Wendy's massive house in the north shore. We haven't done this for a very long time....so it was amazing that this time everyone (who is still in Australia) turns up!! It was a really lovely afternoon. With so much food, drinks, coffee, desserts, sun and the heat that afternoon!!  Everyone is from different walk of life and everyone accomplishes well in their chosen profession but when we get together we sound and behave just as stupid as 14 years ago!
